So the cops are the only ones who should ever be believed? A cop is never biased? Dozens of people - not thugs or gang members but regular people all claim the same thing but one cop says something different and you automatically believe the cop no matter what?

I see all the Busby supporters are busy blogging away in support of their leader, even if they have no clue about what they write. Hopefully this will end up in court where all these so called witnesses and 'victims', (hopefully soon to be defendants), will testify Under Oath about what REALLY happened. ..."Oh we're middle aged democrats, we don't have to follow the law...be gone public servant"

Hey congratulations for making the most illogical argument on this thread yet - the old "you weren't there so you don't know what happened and have no right to comment" argument. This is the same reasoning used by the OJ jurors.

"Cop Haters"? How bout you back off and concede it's possible these officers (cop is a derogatory name for a police officer) made a terrible mistake. There is a line between feeling safe and abusing power, and it not a fine line - it's huge with neon lights along side it. A group of wealthy, middle aged people are not likely to mob a police officer. We know it, and so should he. It's a power trip. Have you heard the news report about Travis County constable Richard McCain, who tasered a 72 year old woman because he "felt threatened"? Or the Chicago police officer who tried to claim self defense after he drunkenly beat down a bartender, despite video evidence to the contrary?

If these knuckle-headed puff-balls are that afraid of the public, perhaps they ought to think twice about the career they choose; if "thinking" isn't too hard of course. It would be nice to go back to the day when the image of the police officer was that of an adult who could control himself as well as earn the respect of the public.

The sheriffs have no respect for law abiding citizens. I was doing jury duty at Vista courthouse and a big ugly deputy treated me like I was a scumbag criminal for NO reason. He just seemed to enjoy it. There might be a couple of decent sheriff deputys but I doubt it.

The community needs to push its leaders for more training and pay for the officers, quit being cheapskate invest in them and expect them to handle themselves better.....

This is another in a long line of incidents, we have spineless and inept politicians....long over due to start calling on our government either step up to plate or find new jobs

so what is going to be done about this. From the way it sounds in this article, it was very similar to the case of police brutality that we had here in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex over the past weekend.
This leaves me with a disgusted and helpless feeling. Surely there is something that we can do?

It amuses me how all you ignorant Cop Haters, who know everything there is to know about police work, like to criticize officers and deputies only based on what you read and hear from the media. Their number 1 goal is to make sure they are safe so they can finish their shift and go home afterwards. You know nothing about officer safety, while trying to protect people who hate police. Its funny, when you are a victim you conveniently look to Law Enforcement for help, but when your friend or relative is the Suspect, you hate cops.

Niether I, nor any of you know exactly how this particular incident transpired, so NONE of us can say anything about what the deputy should or shouldn't have done. All we can do is speculate, which results in negative feelings for law enforcement, and fuels the fire for all you anti-law enforcement ignoramous'. Yes, unfortunately incidents do occur when officers use excessive force. Internal Affairs take those kinds of allegations very seriously, and those incidents are never addressed mildly. But to you cop haters ANY force used is excessive, even when the officer or deputy is legitimatley defending his or herself.

The bottom line is that nobody is perfect. Criminals make mistakes, and so do cops. I believe that anyone who breaks the law, or abuses power given to them, should suffer the consequenses and repercussions that they deserve. Who do YOU think you are passing judgment on every single cop and every police or sheriff's department just because of a few bad apples?

If you accept that statement, then you would have to accept a statement such as:
The lynch mob crowd looked like they were feeling the urge to harm the officer & break the detainee free, who looked like she wanted to find a weapon to use on the officer .

Your argument for the deputy is so obviously bankrupt y'all can't even keep it on topic FFS. He is just another one of the unqualified pigs in that county that have a us v them attitude coupled w/ an inability to relate to people socially w/o coming from a position of authority.

A couple of points which seemed to be overlooked during the chat.

The following excerpts are from posts by people who say they were at the party, made in defense of the host. Not

surprisingly, the stories seem to have changed , after

realizing the fresh after the incident versions were quite incriminating to the party goers.

Are the attendees in contact, and working together in a desperate attempt to villify the officer

in order to cover the crime(s) allegedly commited by the host & attendees? Resisting , aiding& abetting by interfering with

an officer etc?

cause for this police inquiry in the middle of her own living room. She turned away from the officer. He grabbed her arm, she

pulled away, about 15 guests came up to support her, holding onto her, the police officer pushed her to the floor to arrest

her...the 15 guests tried to assist her on the floor, pulling her away from the officer in her own living room...one of them shoved

the officer away from her. The officer pulled out pepper spray and sprayed at least 7 people directly in the face, from a

distance of no more that 12 inches...they all fell to the floor in agony."

The posts are quite telling, and the fact they were posted soon after the incident adds to the credibility since there was less

chance of collusion, and memories were fresh & likely not clouded by other attendees versions, or advice from attorneys.

hiya. new mafiosa here, today. i happened to work civilian LE for many years

your last comment to thegaymafia noted that the deputy was hit. thegaymafia agrees the deputy had the right to go after her into the house if he was hit outside.

he was already in her house, violating her 4th amendment rights, and that's where the physical contact took place.

thegaymafia believes the woman could have unloaded her shotgun into said deputy and defended herself based on 4th amendment.

thegaymafia thinks the "4th amendment" trumps "peaceful enjoyment"

that's the last thegaymafia has to say on the topic, we've been saying all along this deputy had no right to be inside that home based on a "noise complaint"

we're shocked at how the "conservative right" has enjoyed watching civil rights be trampled on merely because the person whose rights were stepped on was gay.

we're used to hatred, but we don't understand why you don't see how this can affect you, next.

And if it makes you feel better to discriminate against people based on what percentage of the population they are, as long as they are in the minority, consider this: males of all colors are a minority when compared to females. Soon, white people are likely to be a minority in this country. So, when the "majority" starts discriminating against your minority, suck it up, cupcake.
